Liz Romo is the Strategic Communications Manager for GLA, with responsibility for leading the company’s integrated communication and business development strategies. Her responsibilities include researching prospective accounts, pursuing leads, and moving them through the sales pipeline.
Ms. Romo protects and strengthens GLA’s reputation by guiding both internal and external communications. She currently Facilitates the GLA Internal Team, incorporating regular trainings and webinars. Ms. Romo also conducts interviews with industry experts through the A Moment with GLA online series.
Ms. Romo has also helped to develop and conduct the Caltrans Fundamentals of Partnering for the Trainers module. The purpose of this training is to ‘train the trainers’ and to facilitate the knowledge and education on the comprehensive process and implementation of Partnering on Caltrans construction projects. In addition, she delivers webinars and presentations to educate participants on the importance of Partnering and Dispute Prevention in the Construction industry.
Ms. Romo holds a B.S. in Business with a concentration in Communication from the University of Phoenix. She currently serves on the Associated General Contractors of California (AGC) Delta Sierra District Board of Directors, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Board of Directors and is a member of the Sacramento Downtowners Toastmasters public speaking group.
