GLA CEO Sam Hassoun named one of Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top 25 Newsmakers for 2019

Sam Hassoun, founder and president of Global Leadership Alliance, Inc. (GLA), was named recently by Engineering News-Record (ENR) as one of their “2019 Top 25 Newsmakers.” The leading industry publication recognized Hassoun for his pioneering leadership and diplomacy in the field of partnering.

As GLA’s founder, Hassoun has “become the go-to person for many California agencies looking to mitigate or avoid major disputes” through a commitment to partnering. With over thirty-five years of experience as a registered Civil Engineer in the state of California, Hassoun has emerged as a true leader collaborative design, construction, maintenance, and management of a wide range of large projects.

ENR’s recognition of Hassoun caps off a successful 2019 for GLA in the field of partnering. Under Hassoun’s leadership, GLA has emerged as a sought-after firm for public agencies and contractors looking to work diplomatically and collaboratively to avoid project-related disputes or issues.

A pioneer in the field of partnering, Hassoun started GLA after a long and distinguished career with the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans). “I left in 2001 to pursue partnering as a career, trying to influence and inspire agencies and the construction industry to find alternative ways to resolve disputes outside the courts,” Hassoun says. “My passion is all about dispute prevention versus resolution.
